Rapid Paving is an owner-run team of paving contractors working across Johannesburg and the wider Gauteng. For a driveway you want a 60mm interlocking or cobble paver laid in a herringbone pattern — that combination locks together and spreads vehicle loads best. 50mm pavers are fine for patios and walkways but under-specced for cars. We'll match the colour and style to your home and recommend the right thickness for the traffic.
Always — it's the whole job. We excavate to depth, lay and compact a crushed-stone sub-base, screed a bedding layer, and fit solid edge restraints so nothing creeps sideways. Paving laid straight onto soft ground or an old surface will rut and sink within a season, and we won't do it.
