Privacy policy
How Rapid Paving collects, uses and protects your information. Last updated 17 July 2026.
This policy explains what personal information Rapid Paving collects when you contact us or use this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle your information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). If anything here isn't clear, email us at info@rapidpaving.co.za and we'll happily explain.
Who we are
Rapid Paving is a paving contractor operating across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the wider Gauteng. For any privacy question, we are the responsible party (the "operator" under POPIA). You can reach us on 086 199 5093 or at info@rapidpaving.co.za.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and carry out paving work. When you complete a quote or contact form, that's typically your name, phone number, suburb, email address, a short description of the work, and any photo you choose to attach. If you phone or WhatsApp us, we keep the details you share so we can help you. Our website may also collect basic, non-identifying usage data through standard web analytics.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a site visit, carry out the work you've asked for, and keep you updated about your job. We may contact you about your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email. We do not send marketing you didn't ask for.
Our lawful basis
We process your information because you've asked us to quote or provide a service (to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving our paving business. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it where it's needed to do the job or run the business — for example, with our own installation team, or with trusted service providers such as our form-delivery and email services. Any provider we use is expected to protect your information and use it only for the agreed purpose. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Third-party features
Some pages embed a Google Map to show our service area, and our quote forms are delivered by a third-party form service. These providers have their own privacy terms. We keep third-party embedding to the minimum needed to run the site.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet reasonable business and legal requirements, after which we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. To make a request, email info@rapidpaving.co.za and we'll respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the information you share with us safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
