Most homes end up paved in bits and pieces — a driveway by one crew, a patio slab poured by a handyman, a path laid over a weekend. It rarely matches and rarely lasts. We take on the whole property instead, so the driveway, walkways, patio and pool surround read as one scheme, not a patchwork.
That starts at the front gate. A home driveway carries real weight and takes the full Highveld sun, so it's built the way we build every driveway — excavated properly on a compacted crushed-stone base, edges locked in. From there we run matching paths to the door, wrap a patio around the braai and lay a cool, non-slip surround at the pool.
We bring paver samples to the site visit and hold them against your brickwork so the colour actually suits the house. Then you get one fixed written quote for the lot, and one team on site keeping the mess in one place while your family carries on around them.

Every surface has a different job to do — and the trick is doing all of them without turning your yard into a building site.
Home driveways that carry the daily traffic
The driveway takes the family cars, visitors and the delivery bakkie. We lay 60mm interlocking or cobble pavers in herringbone on a base compacted in layers, with restrained edges so nothing spreads — dead level where the wheels track, not rutted after a season. Patios, walkways and pool surrounds
Behind the house is where you actually live. A patio in clay brick or flagstone gives you a proper outdoor room off the lounge or braai. Level, trip-free garden walkways connect the gate, the door and the wash line, no muddy shortcut across the grass. And a pool surround needs a paver that grips wet feet and stays cool in January, not one that's slippery and scorching by midday.
A base built for Gauteng gardens and soil
Highveld ground moves — black clay swells wet and shrinks dry, roots lift, irrigation keeps soil under a patio damp long after the surface looks fine. Paving dropped onto that heaves and cracks. We dig to firm ground, build a compacted sub-base, set falls so water runs to the beds and stormwater rather than back at the house, and haunch the edges so the field holds together through the seasons.
Working cleanly around a lived-in home
This isn't an empty plot. We keep one access route for barrows and spoil, sheet up beds and walls, cut pavers away from open windows to keep the dust down, and leave you a way in and out each evening. Rubble goes, not left in a heap by the gate — you keep living in the house while we work.

Most home paving lands between R220 and R500 per m² supplied and laid, depending on the paver, the soil and how much excavation the site needs. A flat driveway in a standard paver sits at the lower end; a flagstone patio or a decorative pool surround pushes it up. We quote each surface separately and itemised, in writing, at the free visit, so you can mix and match to suit the budget.
How much mess and disruption will there be?
Less than you'd expect. We keep one access route for the barrows and spoil, sheet up beds and walls, and cut pavers away from open windows to hold the dust down. Rubble is carted off rather than piled by the gate, and the site is left safe and walkable each evening — you keep living in the house throughout.
Do you handle estate and HOA approvals?
Yes. Plenty of our work is in estates and complexes, so we know the drill — access times, contractor sign-in, colour and material approvals, and keeping common areas clean. Give us your HOA or body corporate requirements and we'll provide whatever paperwork or samples the trustees need to sign off.
How long does a home paving job take?
A single driveway usually takes three to five working days. A full property — driveway, paths, patio and pool surround together — typically runs one to two weeks, depending on area, access and weather. You get a realistic timeline with the quote, and we flag upfront if rain is likely to move it.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes — a written workmanship guarantee on our base preparation and installation, on top of the manufacturer's guarantee on the pavers. If our work settles or fails, we come back and put it right, and it's all set out on the quote before you commit to anything.
Can you pave around my pool, garden and existing features?
That's most of what residential paving is. We lay non-slip surrounds up to the pool coping, run paths around established trees and beds, and tie new paving into what's already there. Where roots or an old surface are a problem, we'll say honestly what needs lifting so the finished job actually lasts.
