These terms apply to your use of this website and to any paving work Rapid Paving quotes for or carries out for you. They're written to be fair and clear. If you'd like anything explained, call 086 199 5093 or email info@rapidpaving.co.za before you accept a quote.

Quotes

Our quotes are free and based on a site inspection. Unless we state otherwise, a written quote is valid for 30 days from its date. A quote is an offer to carry out the described work for the stated price — it becomes an agreement once you accept it in writing (including by email or message).

Pricing and variations

The price in your accepted written quote is fixed for the work described in it. If, once excavation begins, we uncover ground conditions that could not reasonably have been seen at the site visit — for example buried rubble, unstable fill, services or rock — we will stop, explain the issue, and agree any change in scope or price with you before continuing. We don't add charges after the fact without your approval.

Deposits and payment

Where a deposit is required to book your date and order materials, it will be stated on your quote. The balance is payable as set out on the quote or invoice, normally on completion. Ownership of supplied materials passes to you once payment is received in full.

Scheduling and weather

We give realistic timelines, but paving is weather-dependent. Heavy rain can make excavation, base compaction and laying unsafe or unsound, and we would rather pause a day than build on saturated ground. Where weather or access delays a job, we'll keep you informed and reschedule promptly.

Workmanship guarantee

We provide a written workmanship guarantee covering our base preparation and installation. This is in addition to any manufacturer's guarantee on the pavers themselves. If our work fails because of how we did it, we'll return and put it right at no charge to you. The guarantee does not cover damage from misuse, vehicles heavier than the surface was specified for, ground movement beyond normal expectations, alterations by others, or a lack of the basic maintenance described to you on handover.

Site access and your responsibilities

You agree to give us safe, reasonable access to the work area and to let us know about anything relevant that isn't visible — such as buried pipes, cables, irrigation, pool plumbing or a septic system. We take care around your property, but we can't be responsible for damage to unmarked services we weren't told about.

Liability

We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any single project is limited to the value of the work we carried out on it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for pre-existing or underground conditions that were not disclosed to us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
